I didn’t want to read this too carefully; I am nearly finished reading The Calling, and I am enchanted, drawn and very much involved with Mae and your array of characters, setting and all that Mae has had to endure.

The reviewer worked hard on avoiding spoilers, but I can see why you’d hold back in case there were any.

That’s good, and that’s exactly why I don’t talk about The Calling on the blog[s]. I don’t want to ruin anything for another reader.

Authors LOVE to have people talk about their books. It means we’ve connected with readers. You’re thoughtful to try to avoid spoilers, though. When I write reviews or discuss books in forums I work on that, too.

Amber, I am nearly finished with The Calling; I am so involved with Mae and her many dilemma’s, her sincere code of ethics, and her struggle to make difficult decisions. I am beginning to understand what it means to live in the South and the differences between folks like Hubert, Rhoda-Mae and other neighbors, as well as Bernadette and Randi; they are similar to people in NJ and Philadelphia. I have also figured out why Mae will most likely travel to NM to rekindle her relationship with someone very special in her life.
I am quite astonished by the many things she encounters: although, one of my very dear friends is in touch with stones and uses them all the time in combination with Sage.
I think I have an idea for another book for you to write: I am so interested in how and why you chose this most unusual topic to explore, develop and create.
